telecentre.org's mission is to improve the impact and resilience of telecentres around the world.

We are a global community of people and organizations who share a vision of a world where people everywhere have the opportunity to access technology and use it to join the knowledge economy on their own terms. We work toward a future with

• Vibrant telecentres in hundreds of thousands of communities

• Telecentre activists are constantly connected to each other — sharing ideas and resources, coordinating efforts, and lending a helping hand

• People at the grassroots level using telecentres as places to discover ways to use technology to improve their lives and empower their communities

All telecentre.org partners have committed to a set of common values that guide our activities. These values include a focus on social mission, free knowledge sharing, transparency, collaboration, and learning. They also include a firm commitment to technology neutrality. Telecentres should use the technology that they believe is most appropriate for the communities they serve.
