What is the Mission of the BTN?
The BTN owes its emergence to a shared vision of MISSION 2011, which is about building a sustainable information and knowledge system for the poor and the marginalized by 2011, the 40th anniversary of Bangladesh. The goal of Mission 2011 is to promote initiatives taken by private sector, NGOs, research institutions and other stakeholders for building various models of telecentres in Bangladesh and in other developing countries so that by 2011 all citizens of this country would have access to a telecentre for getting communication, information and other services for improving their livelihoods and quality of life.
