Staff Exchange Program for Telecentre Networks in the East Africa Region

The Staff Exchange programme for Telecentre Networks in the East Africa Region has taken place in Kampala -Uganda.

The programme organized by Ugabytes will last for five days (18th - 22nd February, 2008) and feature topics ranging from National Networks Status, online telecentre eco-systems, engagement of the online-community engagement at natonal, regional and international levels, ecosystem awards, telecentre academy and the regional Exchange programme for network leaders and telecentre staff.

Day1 has been so interesting because we have come out with important resolutions like; close follow-ups for network constitutions to be registered, networks to provide 2 staff who will be responsible with technical aspects of the Network to work with like Ugabytes experts, identfied that the big vision could be to deepen the ICT provision for economic and social development through knowledge sharing and training, also that, a strong regional telecentre eco-system will be developed, where a dynamic websites shall be developed, To make sure that the websites have relevant contents, two members from each network will work for developing content and meet every third day of the month.
