The third day of the Network Staff Exchange Meeting has illuminated on the movement of the telecentre family. The recommendation by the meeting to ask the National Telecentre Network Leaders to deliberate and come up with plans and activities that will lead to developing projects which take into account the 'Social Enterprise Concept',  mark the begining of bold steps to be taken by the telecentre family towards adressing the sustainability issue.

The idea is that there should be a shift from the initial concepts that telecentre movement activities are only ICT based and service oriented.

Social Enterprise Concept entails that other activities implemented involving the business sense to compliment the traditional ICT based activities should be devised and Integrated. This will provide more income to address constraints in funds to both the telecentres and the National Networkf or important expenditures which are not covered by traditional activities and funds from supporters.

In order to ensure efficient and effective implementation of the Social Enterprise Projects, a team of experts to be supervised by UgaBYTES will work together with the Network leadership through a well designed follow-up mechanism. UgaBYTES will provide technical support and introduce the idea to other development partners
Let the National Network Leadership take up the challenge and cooperate towards this valuable initiative. Other levels of the telecentre movement are expected to support the idea and participate effectively in the spirit of 'KEEP ON KEEPING ON'
