UNESCO uploaded radio shows of GK3 conference

UNESCO actively participated in the Third Global Knowledge Conference (GK3) from 11 to 13 December 2007 and its associated and parallel events and exhibits. It set up an onsite Community Multimedia Centre (CMC) and an exhibition promoting the concept of CMC in building “knowledge societies” at Kuala Lumpur Conventional Centre, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Topics ranged from community radio, telecentre, CMC in Asia, Africa and Caribbean, present and future conferences, ICT for disabled, Citizens media, Brain Store, Fund for youth, eTUKTUK, Free and Open Software and Shareware, E-inclusion of indigenous, Open Source Software for radio streaming, ICT4D, etc.
Selected audio programmes from the broadcasting are edited and uploaded to the Audiovisual Resources Platform of UNESCO's Communication and Information Sector. These programmes can be accessed here
