The broad goal of KENTEL is to facilitate affordable, accessible and relevant information collection, production and exchange using the telecentre concept among rural and disadvantaged communities in Kenya and the rest of the world. This is envisaged to create opportunities in people’s lives, achieve food security, sustain livelihoods and safeguard the environment. The hallmark is promoting use of modern, affordable and sustainable ICTs especially in community telecentres to specifically create opportunities in business, employment, education, agriculture, health, governance, gender etc and generally for socio-economic development.
