Event Description

eLi 2009 "Learning Industry for the Future" Riyadh Conference and Expo is an international event on e-learning and distance learning.

The patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz of the First International Conference of E-learning and Distance Learning in Higher Educational Institutions is to be considered as a crowning for the efforts of the Ministry of Higher Education represented by the National Centre for E-learning and Distance Learning in KSA.

With such efforts NELC aims to joining international developments in that field, spreading E-learning, taking initiatives for the development of distance learning and setting the necessary legislation as well as getting benefit from the latest learning technologies.

Conference Objectives

* To identify E-learning and distance learning cultural and ethical dimensions.
* To predict E-learning and distance learning prospects in the era of globalization and knowledge-based economy.
* To identify E-learning and distance learning applications and experiences.
* To localize E-learning and distance learning industry in the higher education institutions.
* To provide opportunities for exchanging expertise between professionals and subject matter experts in E-learning and distance learning.
* To encourage partnership and cooperation between public and private sectors in the areas of e-learning and e-training development and distance learning.
* To present modern trends in teaching approaches and applications in E-learning and distance learning.

I’m too happy for the Conference that will start at March this year in KSA, that is good example for all the Islamic countries. So I preferred the east African countries to be like KSA,to organize a meeting with all the Universities and Institutes, which serve -up E-learning and Distance learning to their community. Thanks
