Blog

A creating and launching of a blog, in support of a “rural craftsman”, with extreme ability & the multi faceted craftsmanship with its being of world class & grade but without a grading in the business management so gained for the betterment of his livelihood, living standard & trade, for gaining publicity that needed for regaining a better market for his product. Attampitiya Nenasala is providing the sponsorship for this project.
The person is of the age of 32 and married with one child at the age of 8.
His trade is to creating of various plaques, trophies, souviniours etc. , using of various material such as wood, metal plastic with finest finishing touch. The programme wants to make him of gaining better business with a bigger clientale and proper management process for his trade, hich he is lacking presently.
Fine craftsmanship blended with IT,
Pre designing by the digital technology helped the craftsman at his work for the enhancement of the trade, Nenasala is helping the rural craftsman while the craftsman himself is providing his products at farer rate to the Nenasala.
Photo & graphic
Traditional workmanship is blended with the modern technology but preserving the quality of the manual fine arts craftsmanship and where it matters.
Yes indeed. The particular traditional workman didn’t have the help of modern digital technology until recognized by the programme (especially in the related designing work.
Yes indeed. The trade is being helped by the programme in gaining better market and more business and it is good business for Nenasala as the latter is a main service provider towards the craftsman.
Thanking you.

Hello Everyone,

Just from a causal survey of your telecentre, are online classes do most of the people take? For example, do they take or, even want to take agriculture courses, English as a second language, or business classes? What are the majority of the people interested in taking?

Sayeb,

Welcome to the site. I have learned so much from this group that is useful and educational. It is so exciting to be on the cutting edge of global learning, and it is wonderful to be able to share ideas and educational opportunities with people from around the world.

Do you or others in your Telecentre take online courses? If so, how and from where?

There is another video you should see, and it applies to your country Malawi very appropriately... not enough money so ICT in rural areas will never happen. Try us.
