Telecentre Women’s Campaign draws in support from 50+ countries
Over 50 countries have confirmed their participation for the Telecentre Women: Digital Literacy Campaign, with more supporters joining in every week. The campaign, which is a joint initiative between the ITU and Telecentre.org Foundation, pledges to train 1 million women in digital literacy by the end of 2012. As of July 29, 2011, a total of 7,3290 women have been trained under the campaign, details of which can be viewed here on the campaign website.
