About Me (biography and organization description)
I am the Liaison to the UN and Director of Funds and Grants for the Personal Learning Center International (PLC/i). The PLC/i is a low cost, quality online elementary and secondary school. All textbooks are online and the teachers are highly qualified professionals. The PLC/i believes that all students have an equal right to learn.
Formerly, I was the Principal/Director of the first virtual early college in the United States, a faculty member of an online university, a curriculum specialist, consultant for the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, and English teacher.
Areas of interest/expertise and types of services provided:
PLC/i offerings include elementary classes, a middle school diploma program, a high school diploma program, 35 advanced placement courses, an accredited American High School Diploma program, an International Diploma Program at 1/5 the cost of an IBO program, English as a second language courses, 37 foreign languages through Rosetta Stone Classroom, more than 150 career-technical courses, Credit Recovery courses through Lifetime Library, state of the art virtual classroom with voice/audio tools, all digital textbooks, all courses browser based, and the lowest cost, highest quality courses for the global community. PLC/i is considered a pioneer in the field of online learning through the integration of 21st Century skills and Web 2.0 tools.
