The East African Community (EAC) has partnered with the One Laptop per Child (OLPC), a US-based non-profit organisation whose mission is to help provide every child in the world access to a modern education.

Telecentre networks both on regional and national levels have helped increase the ability of Telecentres and Telecentre Communities to speak out about issues. Within a network, ideas can develop and then be shared in ways which pass on the thinking of many people. Digital villages project rolled out in Kenya
