I'm okello cosmas, 25 year's old,serving as an ICT instructor ASDI NGO -Apac since 2006, due to financial constrains, the NGO has shut down the Information Center, it had an internet cafe serving the whole of Apac, with surfing and and other besides trainings with the following packages;
-Introduction to computer technology
-Ms. Word
-Ms Excel
-Ms. Power point (Presentation)
-Ms publisher
-Adobe pagemaker
-Internet Explorer
-Quick books
-Tally
-Epidata
-Maintainance and Repairs
-Data Base Managemenet
Among others- information technology is still lacking in Apac and most especially rural areas/sub-counties, had thought to begin the training in rural areas so as to enhance access to information through computer trainings centers in rural areas.Have a look at my personal website http://www.okello.cosmas2.htmlplanet.com for students in the training that is lecture room. seems many are interested in the training, but resources are still lacking in terms of computers, if you could assist, and open these training centers in the rural areas much better, its a a challenge and new development.

Thanks

Aggreement

I would like to appreciate the telecentre for the much realities being done on the ground, especially rural areas and i would beg to be included in the training so that we trained others and they benefit from the organization as the outcome of the organization that is broad based and actually organized, i thank the facilitator and the founders of this organization, have seen, the workshops organized and attended from the pictures and seems very spicy.

You re welcome,
okello cosmas

Hello Okello, telecentre.org is a knowledge sharing platform where people and organizations from all over the world get together online to share their experiences about ICTs for Development and to also learn from each other.

Though it has contests where recognition in form of awards and prizes are given out to participants, telecentre.org does not donate anything, be it money or computers.

Apparently, there is an on going contest i.e the Photo Contest which is running to 31 Sept.2009. Winners will be awarded accordingly so feel free to be apart of it by sharing your experiences of ICTs through photography. Follow it up from HERE.

Cheers!!
