The Board of Trustees of the telecentre.org Foundation, the new host of telecentre.org, appointed seven members to the foundation’s Advisory Council during the first board meeting held in Colombo, Sri Lanka in December. On Friday last we opened a new Multipurpose Community Based Telecentre in the San Juan/Laventille Municipal Region. It was formally launched by the Minister of Social Development. It is one of 5 operating in Trinidad and Tobago and 2 more are due to be opened in the next 3 months or so.

The latest national survey from market research company Synovate shows Kenya’s Internet market is growing fast and on the basis of this growth will soon reach “critical mass”.
