It's very satisfying to know that it is planned by the Compartel program of the Ministry of communications open more telecentres throughout the country, where many people will benefit. It was also estimated to reach populations where there is no access to information technology.
As framed in the notification by the Ministry was as follows:
"The Compartel Program of the Ministry of Communications opened more than 600 thousand centers of community access to the Internet - telecentres in the five regions of the country. Through Public Educational Institutions with broadband connectivity to provide this service to the citizens of rural areas and most marginalized of the country starting next year.
The program Compartel awarded the Public Bidding No. 002 of 2008, through Resolution No. 1574 of November 24, 2008, for regions 1, 2, 3 and 4 to promote the creation of Centers of Community Access to the Internet. Through the hiring of five firms responsible for designing and implementing regional strategies to enable the public educational establishments benefit from the program Compartel of Broadband Connectivity in opening their doors as Centers of Community Access to the Internet.
Also, through Resolution No. 1511 of November 12, 2008 the program awarded the same process for the region 5.
With the opening of telecentres Compartel Program of the Ministry of Communications reaches the rural population which now has easy access to the Internet, because only through this initiative of the Government of its inhabitants have such a service.
The official budget for this project was $ 132 thousand eight hundred million pesos ($ 132,800,000,000) or (US $58,000,000,000) distributed in 5 regions. "
